Well, I've decided to cancel my membership here. It expires next week. My trainer finally has his life back in order, more or less, so I have an appointment with him tomorrow (yippee!), so I'm good for another month. I also found a program for my Palm Pilot that will let me program workouts to take with me to the gym, so if he flakes out on me again, I'll still be able to figure something out, and I won't have to pay anybody for it. Back on Track?

My trainer finally called me and made an appointment for Monday! I am so excited! It has been months and months since I had a training session with him and it's been increasingly difficult to stay focused and motivated. I've been sick. Sicker than usual, as I normally don't get sick, and when I do, it's not very bad. This one has knocked me on my butt for a couple of days. I'm still stuffed up and feel drained, but I've decided I have to get back to normal and get these germs out of here. In the past, it always helps to sweat it out. I made it to the gym again today and did my prescribed workout, to which I added three sets of a different routine for each muscle worked. I sure wish this site would crank out a 60-minute routine when I ask for one. The routine I'm given lasts 20-30 minutes, depending on the day. I did shoulders, traps, and triceps.

I wonder how many members are in this community. I don't see much activity anywhere. I left one guy a note on his blog, but didn't get any response. As usual, I guess I'm in this alone. *sigh*

Not much going on. My trainer hasn't called me. It's been a week tomorrow since he moved into his new house. And since I'm apparently the only client who actually came and worked on it, I'm surprised he didn't call. But not surprised, too. I'll just move on and if he calls, he calls. I'm not holding

What a Difference from Last Week

During the week, I decided to take my butt (and my massage chair) over to the place where they were building a new house for my trainer (a home makeover thing) and worked four long days in the sun helping finish this house. Roller Coaster

This past week has been a roller coaster ride. I've been feeling down because my trainer has been on the news and seeing him and hearing his voice again made me realize how much I've missed him. Yesterday was my birthday. I'm now 57. Gak. :-P

Lately I've been feeling sort of alone in my quest to be healthy and fit. I feel like I'm the only person on the planet who is taking this seriously, and it just gets so hard sometimes to keep going. My trainer flaked out on me and I've had to resort to an internet trainer (Gym America) to find workouts. Stiff & Sore (In a good way)

I did my edited workout for legs and biceps on Monday, and today I'm feeling the pain, so to speak. I guess the way I bumped it up was really a good workout and it took 86 minutes instead of a measly 45 or so. I was pleased about that. Today's workout, even with the added exercises, only took 48 minutes, which is better than 30.

Liking this site better

Today I logged on to find a new format to the site with the capability to add and modify my workout. I am loving it a lot more than last week, I'll tell you! I was able to add three sets of a different exercise to each muscle group, so my workout lasted a full hour instead of the usual piddling 30-40 minutes. I feel like I had a really great workout today. And I was able to save my workout so that it shows up again next time without my having to make a bunch of changes each and every DAY. Thank ...
