Directions:

Mix the ground almonds, butter and 1/2 t salt to make a dough.

Press into a 20cm pie plate.

Prick it all over with a fork and bake at 180 for 15 minutes or until golden brown.

Steam or boil the asparagus until bright green and lightly cooked.

Drain and spread even over the crust.

Sprinkle half the cheese over the asparagus.

Whisk the eggs and season with salt and pepper. Pour over the asparagus.

Top with remaining cheese.

Bake at 180 for 25-30 minutes or until eggs are set and cheese is browned.

Serve hot, warm or cold.
