Prepare wild rice according to package except replace 2cups water with the chicken broth. Also, do not add any salt. The ham and chicken broth make up for omitting the salt.

Thinly slice the carrot (dime or penny thickness) and slice or dice the onion into medium pieces.

Heat olive oil in the skillet over medium heat and sautee the carrots and onions until tender (carrots should be firm, not soft of crunchy).

Add carrots and onions to wild rice.

Cube ham and microwave for 30-45 seconds, then add to the wild rice mixture.
