Directions:  
Preheat oven to 350
Mix flour, 2 cups sugar, salt, baking soda and baking powder, add applesauce and milk. Beat well. Beat in eggs and 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla and fold in can of drained pineapple and 1/2 cup coconut. Spread batter in three greased and floured 9 inch round pans.
Bake for 30 minutes at 350. Cool, and remove from pans.
Drain remaining can of pineapple. Mix 1/2 of 1 container of frosting with drained pineapple and 1/2 cup coconut. Spoon 1/2 of mixture on top of one cake add a second cake on top then add remaining mixture and top off with 3rd layer. Frost with remaining frosting and sprinkle with coconut.
