cut or break tops off green beans, rinse and break into smaller pieces if desired.

Chop onion, and bacon into small pieces

In a saucepan, saute bacon until brown, add onions and minced garlic, and brown until bacon is browned and chrispy. Add green beans and stir to combine, saute about 6 minutes until green beans have absorbed most of the bacon grease.

Add chicken stock, deglaze bottom of saucepan. Cover and simmer about 30 - 45 minutes, or until green beans are cooked to your preference.
