Directions:  
In 1 1/2 qt microwave-safe bowl, stir together sugar and syrup. Microwave on high for 4 minutes. Stir in peanuts and microwave on high for 1-2 minutes (until light brown). Add butter and vanilla. Microwave at high 1 minute. Add baking soda and stir until light and foamy. Pour into greased cookie sheet. Let cool, and break into pieces and store.
