Directions:
Mix flour and salt together in a large mixing bowl. Form a well, and add 1 cup of the milk into it. Stir the flour into the milk. Beat the eggs until frothy, and then beat them into the batter. Add the other 1/2 cup of milk and the 1/2 cup of water. Beat on high until bubbles form on top of the batter. If you have the time, let rest for up to an hour. When ready to cook, preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Once up to temperature, put the beef (or pork) drippings into an 8" x 12" oven proof dish and put into the oven for approximately 7 mins or until the drippings are sizzling and slightly smoking. Beat the batter one final time until large bubbles appear on the surface and then pour into the dish on the hot beef drippings. Cook at 400 degrees for 20 mins. Reduce temperature to 350 degrees and cook for a further 10 mins. Remove from heat, let rest for 5 mins, slice into 8 pieces and enjoy. Especially nice with gravy!
