Directions:  
cut shortening into flour until its coarse and resembles cornmeal add milk a little at a time until you get a soft dough. Roll out onto a floured surface knead a little more flour back into the dough roll out and cut out biscuits. Bake at 500 until bottoms are just turning brown, then switch on broil and brown tops. Makes very soft biscuits.
