Using a weight belt with a chain, attach a dumbbell or weight plate to the belt so you're pulling up more than your body weight. Grab the chinning bar with an overhand grip that's just outside shoulder-width. Hang with straight arms.

Finish: Pull yourself up until your chin is over the bar.
