Yoga Level 1: Cow Face Pose

Calories Burned:  204 calories per hour   (based on a body weight of 150 lbs.)
Sit tall with your legs straight in front of you.

Bend your right knee to bring your heel next to your left hip.

Bend your left knee and settle it on top of your right knee with the heel near the right hip.

Leave your shoulder down as you bring your left arm straight up by your left ear.

Bend the left elbow so that you can reach down your spine with your left hand.

Open your chest and bring your right hand behind you, reaching it up your spine.

Reach your right hand toward your left, and your left toward your right. Clasp your hands together.

If you are unable to clasp your hands together, a yoga strap, scarf, or belt can be used make the connection.

Hold 3 to 5 breaths. Repeat the pose on the other side.
