Description: Turn hot and spicy with Spices but watch sodioum levels. Add cut chili or Jalapenos or both to the water about 1/2 way through the boiling process.

Clean beans in cold water with strainer.

In a large pan add the slice onion, salt, and dice garlic cloves with the beans. Add 6 cups of water, boil and keep water level to the beans ( Don't let the beans dry out) Keep adding water when needed. Cook on high heat for about 50 minutes or until the bean is able to mash but don't mushy. The bean should be, "AL DENTE" BUT NOT CRUNCHY!!!

Pour the bean mixture in a sealed container and let cool to room temperature, store in refrigerator.
