Barbell Split Squat

Calories Burned:  476 calories per hour   (based on a body weight of 150 lbs.)
Primary Muscles Trained:  Thighs
Secondary Muscles Trained:  Gluteus Maximus
Position a barbell on back of your shoulders. Stand with feet far apart; one foot forward and other foot behind.
Squat down by flexing knee and hip of front leg until knee of rear leg is almost in contact with floor. 
Return to original standing position by extending the hip and knee of the forward leg.
Repeat. Continue with opposite leg.
