Roller Coaster

This past week has been a roller coaster ride. I've been feeling down because my trainer has been on the news and seeing him and hearing his voice again made me realize how much I've missed him. Not just the trainer part, but him as a person. He's basically a very nice guy, but his life has been so hectice the past 6 months (he was forced to move out of his house) that he hasn't had time for clients like me, I guess. He didn't actually dump me, but he didn't return my calls, either. Maybe he'll call me when things settle down. I hope so, but I'm not counting on it. So it's been rough. I've done okay, food-wise, though, and I've been faithfully going to the gym as scheduled and even did both cardio routines this week.

The GA moderator finally responded to my post, in which he sort of confirmed what I alreay suspected about the workouts on the GA Select plan, which is what I've been using. If I want to "bump it up" I have to do it manually. What I want is more sets and more reps, but it keeps adding more WEIGHT. I feel like my spine is going to collapse. And yes, I wear a weight belt. But still.

Today I'm feeling lethargic. I had to do an out-call massage, which means hauling my 45-pound massage table around. I do trades with a chiropractor. I have to haul my table up there, give him a 1-hour massage, and lug it back. In exchange he gives me a 20-second adjustment. Hardly seems fair. I was hoping that the arrangement would garner me some new clients, but so far it hasn't. There was a guy in his office today that I gave my card to, though. We'll see. I might have to discontinue my association with him.

But anyway, I digress. I went to the gym and could barely make it through my workout. I don't know why I felt like a limp noodle. I kicked butt last week with the same routine. This week, I was so tired and wrung out I skipped abs completely. Hmmm...
