Directions:  
Soak beans overnight.
Cook beans an hour, drain saving liquid.
Preheat oven to 275F. Combine all ingredients into bean crock except bacon and onion.
Fill with saved liquid and top with bacon, put onion in middle of micxture.
Put a cup of bean liquid an hour otherwise it will dry out.
May also use a slow cooker on high for 5 hours, in this case you do not need to add extra hourly water, do not remove cover for 5 hours.
