Directions:  
Melt butter in a heavy large saucepan over medium heat. Add leek and cook until tender, stirring occasionally, about 5 minutes. Add potato and broth and bring to boil. Reduce heat; cover and simer until potatoes are tender. Puree soup in blender in batches. Return soup to pot and add milk and bring to simmer. Season with salt and pepper.
