Directions:

Spritz sauce pan and add 1/2 cup onions, carrot, and celery. Cook 15 minutes until tender. Add garlic. tomatoes, basil and parsley. Simmer for 20 minutes. Let cool slightly and pulse in food processor until smooth consistency.

Boil water (2quarts) add salt and pasta. Boil approximately 8 minutes until and pasta is still firm.

Spray saute' pan and cook beef until brown over medium heat. Add 1/4 cup onions when beef is mostly brown. When meat is brown add all 1/2 tsp basil and sauce.
Simmer for 5 minutes.

In baking dish spread 1/3 cup of meat sauce. Dot with half of the ricotta cheese. Mix noodles and 1/2 meat sauce. Stir thoroughly and pour into dish. Dot with remaining ricotta cheese. Pour remaining meat sauce over pasta. Top with mixed mozzarella and parmesan cheeses.
