Must-Know Weight Loss Tips, Lesson Seven
By The FitClick Team

#1 Say it Out Loud!

Create a healthier environment by letting friends and family in on your diet and exercise goals. If you tell people what you are trying to accomplish, they will be more likely to support your efforts, and less likely to inadvertently sabotage them with pressures to skip workouts or go out to dinner. Allow the people closest to you to motivate and encourage your healthy habits. You may find that they start to participate with you by joining for walks or preparing healthier meals. When you finally reach your goals, celebrate together!

#2 Get Into Your Groove

Develop an easy-to-follow exercise pattern. Determine what, and when, works best for you, and stick to it. Don’t force yourself to do something that you despise doing. If you don’t like to run, don’t run. Maybe biking, swimming, or walking is more your speed and doesn’t feel like a chore. Construct a set workout schedule, with specific times, to follow every week. Without some structure, it’s easy to talk yourself out of exercising after a long day at work. Eventually, your workout will feel as much a part of your daily routine as brushing your teeth, cooking dinner, or watching your favorite show.

Weight Watchers - Weight Loss Program Review

The Points

For more than 40 years, millions of people, of all ages and weight goals, have followed Weight Watchers. The popular weight loss program promotes a healthy, balanced diet without food restrictions. The eat-what-you-like plan uses a point system to track foods. Determined by calorie count, as well as fat and fiber content, every food is assigned a number. Tracking points encourages users to make better food choices and learn portion control. Extra points are earned with physical activity. Unlike other weight loss programs, Weight Watchers includes weekly meetings and check-ins. At the initial Weight Watchers meeting, dieters will learn their daily targets. Points are determined by weight, height, age, and activity level. Participants also receive tools to help track their points like food journals and guidebooks with popular grocery store and restaurant food point values.  Typically, followers tend to lose between a half pound and 2 pounds per week until they meet their goals and establish long-term lifestyle changes.

The Pros

Flexibility: There are no forbidden foods.  Simply eat what you want but stay within your points. The plan allows for occasional indulgences and fits easily into most lifestyles. For example, you will not need to prepare separate meals for your family.

Food Knowledge: The plan teaches you about foods and how to make the most of your points. You’ll learn which foods will make you fuller for longer. In grocery stores, you’ll find that some frozen food brands like Lean Cuisine and Smart Ones now include Weight Watchers point values ...

So I just signed back up for GymAmerica.  I was using MyFitnessPal but the lack of diet structure and no exercise plan made it hard to stick to it.  Then I moved and took a new job.  I'm working more hours and I'm spending 2+ hours in traffic everyday.  My morning starts at 0530 just to get to work on time and I don't get home until after 1800 most days.

I'm trying to find motivation during the weekdays. It's pitch black, and cold now, when I get out of work which doesn't help. I don't have any trouble on the weekends. Still getting up for long walk or jobs on Saturdays and Sundays. It's just tough during the week. I should probably start going to bed earlier and adjust to exercising first thing in the morning.
